INTERVIEW: PROTECTING PROPERTY BUYERS FROM THE RISKS OF ALTERNATIVE HOME FINANCING OPTIONS
REIACT CEO Maria Edwards recently discussed on ABC Radio Canberra some tips on how property buyers can protect themselves from the risks associated with taking alternative home financing options, including knowing their rights, looking at the risk protection services as well the terms and conditions being offered by the financing companies. Maria also noted that there are existing laws and regulations that protect property buyers as they secure home loans, such as the National Consumer Credit Code, and as such, they should ensure that the financing schemes they avail of are covered by it.
