MEDIA INTERVIEW: REIACT CEO MARIA EDWARDS ON CANBERRA LIBERALS’ PROPOSED STRATA COMMISSIONER
On the Canberra Liberals’ proposal to bring in a commissioner to oversee the strata sector:
REIACT CEO Maria Edwards in an interview with ABC Canberra said she welcomes the plan to establish a ‘Strata and Building Quality Commissioner’, especially with the big push in the ACT for apartment living. She said having a centrepoint for both strata managers and consumers alike to addess systemic and governance issues would be useful for the sector.
