MEDIA RELEASE: REIACT celebrates 50th year milestone with ACT real estate industry top performers

Canberra, ACT – The Real Estate Institute of the ACT (REIACT) celebrated its 50th year of operation by recognising the outstanding achievements of the ACT’s real estate professionals, both individuals and agencies, on its annual Awards for Excellence held at Hotel Realm on 31st August.
The REIACT Awards for Excellence, the Institute’s biggest annual event with over 400 attendees this year, aim to encourage, recognise and promote excellence and best practice in the ACT’s real estate profession.
“Real estate professionals in the ACT are being recognised nationally, with the ACT bringing home the highest number of awards at the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s National Awards for Excellence 2024 held in May,” REIACT President Hannah Gill said.
“We want to build on that momentum for our local industry Awards and I am glad that more real estate professionals are seeing the value of showcasing their achievements, innovations and best practices,” she added.
Amid the many challenges that real estate professionals and the industry as a whole face, REIACT CEO Maria Edwards emphasised that these Awards are a reminder to uphold professionalism and the highest standards in providing services to their clients.
“This is what we have been promoting to our members for the last five decades, and we will strive to do so for the years to come,” Edwards said.
This year, there were 109 submissions in 34 categories. Recognising the importance of the strata sector in the industry, the Institute included two additional categories namely, strata manager and strata management agency awards.

The Property Collective won the Hall of Fame Award for winning the Residential Property Management Team of the Year from 2021 to 2023. A first for the ACT, Grady Strata & Facilities won the Strata Management Agency of the Year Award, while one of its founding partners Michael Grady took home the first Strata Manager of the Year Award.
Winners from this year’s REIACT Awards will go on to represent the ACT at the REIA National Awards for Excellence 2025 to be held in South Australia next year.
